About Us

Our Pediatric Emergency Department is one of the first in New York City dedicated to the care of children. We provide expert emergency care to more than 30,000 children and adolescents each year in our state-of-the art facility. As part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System, the largest public healthcare system in the United States, we are committed to ensuring every child receives high-quality, compassionate care regardless of their circumstances. We serve as a training site for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Jacobi Pediatric Residency, and Emergency Medicine Residency, shaping the next generation of physicians.  

Our specialized services include:

• Regional Snakebite, Burn, and Hyperbaric Treatment Center.

• The only Pediatric Trauma Center in the Bronx, and one of the busiest in New York State.
